In Round 12 of Betfred League One, Goole bounced back against Dewsbury on the road.
Under the Friday night lights at the FLAIR Stadium, first half tries from Thomas Minns and Neil Tchamambe, each converted by Reece Dean, edged the Vikings 12-6 in front after full-back Craig McShane had replied for the hosts.
After the restart a Dean penalty and a classy finish from returning stand-off Mackenzie Harman appeared to have the visitors cruising at 20-6.
But a quick-fire brace from Dewsbury centre Caelum Jordan set up a nail-biting finish, only for Vikings to dig in with superb goal-line defence and bank two priceless League One points.
Keighley Cougars recorded back-to-back wins for the first time in 2025, as they edged out Rochdale.
It was the annual Pride fixture at Cougar Park and Keighley were fired up – racking up a 20-6 lead at the break with tries from Brad Holroyd and Brad England and a brace from young Connor Sayner.
But it was to be a tale of two halves as Luke Forber, Lewis Else, Duane Straugheir and three successful conversions brought the Hornets back level by the 66th minute – setting up a grandstand finish.
Former Keighley playmaker, Jack Miller, appeared to have become a Hornets hero when he slotted over a drop goal two minutes from time, but this elation was short-lived.
Keighley were awarded a penalty for a high shot and Matty Beharrell slotted it over to snatch the victory.
Meanwhile, North Wales Crusaders dug deep to see off second place Midlands and remain top of League One.
It was the Crusaders’ fourth win on the spin as they restricted the Hurricanes to just one score and cross for two of their own in this top of the table clash.
A successful Jamie Dallimore penalty goal had also stretched the hosts’ lead.
Finally, Swinton kept pressure on Workington in the table after beating them in Round 12 - with a Will Roberts match-winner.
